Former Texas High School Teacher Arrested on Tampering and Alcohol Charges Following Inappropriate Relationship Allegations

Holly Adams is a former high school teacher in Texas.

She previously taught students at Angleton High School.

Adams was arrested following accusations that she engaged in inappropriate relationships with students.

The criminal charges filed against her, however, stem from unrelated offenses.

The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office announced that Adams faces three specific charges.

She has been charged with one count of tampering with evidence.

She has also been charged with two counts of purchasing or furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Deputies arrested Adams on Tuesday, August 25.

She was released from custody that same day.

Her release came after she posted a $26,000 bond.

Adams is no longer employed with the Angleton Independent School District.

A district spokesperson confirmed her employment status in a statement provided to Fox News Digital.

In August 2025, the investigation into Adams officially began.

The inquiry was initiated after a student reported to school staff that Adams was having an inappropriate relationship with a former student, according to KTRK-TV.

An informant provided staff with detailed claims regarding that alleged relationship.

The informant claimed that the victim contacted him via FaceTime during summer break from a bedroom located inside Adams’ house.

He further alleged that the bed inside the room was covered in nude photos of Adams.

Another photograph allegedly depicted Adams cuddling with the former student.

In August 2025, the alleged evidence tampering offense reportedly took place.

Two days prior to the alleged tampering incident, deputies from the sheriff’s office served a search warrant at Adams’ home.

Deputies seized four cell phones during the search of the residence, per the outlet.

They seized 11 nude photos.

They also seized a photo book containing nude photos.

But the accusations against Adams were not limited to a single former student.

Adams was also accused of having other inappropriate relationships with students.

She allegedly invited those students to her residence to perform chores.

And she allegedly admitted to school administrators that she had engaged in direct online communication with current students.

Adams allegedly admitted to administrators that she communicated with three members of the high school baseball team on Snapchat.

Yet despite the accusations regarding inappropriate relationships with students, Adams has not been charged with improper relationship between educator and student.

Authorities stated that an improper relationship between educator and student was the offense they were investigating when they originally issued the August 2025 search warrant.

It is not currently clear if Adams has entered a plea following her arrest.

It is also not clear whether she has retained legal counsel.

The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the case.

Attorney Jed Silverman, who is not representing Adams, spoke to KTRK-TV regarding the execution of search warrants in digital investigations.

Silverman told the station that it is possible Adams could face additional charges once investigators finish examining her phone.

“What the search warrant does is it gives the police officer, law enforcement permission to get into the phone, and it takes a little while,” Silverman said.

The investigation into the case remains ongoing.
