“I CAN USE MY WORK ACCESS TO KEEP HIM HIDDEN”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, POLICE SAY A MARYLAND DEFENSE ATTORNEY’S OFFICE EMPLOYEE USED NONPUBLIC INFORMATION TO HELP A SUSPECT IN THE MURDER OF A FIVE-YEAR-OLD GIRL EVADE LAW ENFORCEMENT… AND SHE IS NOW BEING HELD WITHOUT BOND.
The case began around 2:17 a.m. when Maryland State Police troopers responded to a home in Linkwood.
Inside the residence, troopers found five-year-old Na’Ryah Adams dead from a gunshot wound.
Her father, 30-year-old Ryan Adams, was also shot during the incident.
He was critically wounded.
The investigation into the Linkwood homicide is also connected to another shooting that occurred just hours earlier in Hurlock.
That separate shooting involved a 14-year-old victim.
Ryan Adams and his 15-year-old nephew have since been charged in connection with that earlier Hurlock incident.
Meanwhile, authorities identified two suspects in the August 11 shooting death of the five-year-old girl.
Police identified those suspects as 26-year-old Anthony D. Harris and 23-year-old Wendell A. Wongus III.
Both Harris and Wongus have been charged with first-degree murder and other related offenses in connection with Na’Ryah’s death.
Then the homicide investigation led troopers directly to an employee at a defense attorney’s office.

Maryland State Police arrested 42-year-old Lindsay Jo Ewing of Cambridge.
Ewing is charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and other related offenses in connection with the child’s killing.
Investigators are not accusing Ewing of pulling the trigger.
Instead, investigators allege she used information available through her job at the defense law office to help Harris avoid law enforcement.
Maryland State Police said investigators believe Ewing accessed sources of information not available to the general public through her employment.
Authorities say she used that privileged access to assist the accused murder suspect in evading detection after the homicide occurred.
And the legal consequences followed swiftly for everyone accused in the case.
Ewing has been booked and is being held without bond.
Harris is also being held without bond.
Wongus remains held without bond as well.
None of the defendants has been convicted in connection with Na’Ryah’s murder.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
