“NO ONE WILL EVER FIND THEM HERE”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, POLICE SAY TWO UNIDENTIFIED BODIES WERE PULLED FROM THE DOMINGUEZ CHANNEL MILES APART IN SOUTHERN LOS ANGELES COUNTY… AND THE INVESTIGATION REMAINS ONGOING.
The first discovery was made earlier this week in Carson.
A golfer was at the Victoria Golf Course when he noticed a body floating in the water.
On Tuesday, the golfer called police after making the discovery.
The body pulled from the water was that of a young girl.
Authorities described her remains as severely decomposed.
She was pulled from the Dominguez Channel by responders.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials estimated that the girl was between 6 and 12 years old.
She stood between 4-foot-4 and 4-foot-8, according to officials.
Officials said the child weighed between 60 and 85 pounds.
She had brown eyes.
She had short dark brown or black hair.
An autopsy is set to determine her cause of death.
Police have not yet been able to identify her.
Then, a day after the girl was found, another body was spotted in the waterway.
Staff members at a nearby refinery saw the remains in the channel.
This second body belonged to an adult man.
He was pulled from the same waterway.

Officials described him as a Black male between 50 and 60 years old.
Authorities estimated that he had been dead for less than 24 hours.
Officials said Thursday that there were no obvious signs of trauma on the man’s body.
An autopsy is also set to determine his cause of death.
Police have yet to identify him.
The Dominguez Channel is located in southern Los Angeles County.
The channel runs for about 15.7 miles.
But the two discoveries did not happen in the same place.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the bodies were found miles apart.
Officials with the sheriff’s department held a press conference on Thursday.
At the press conference, officials said the only similarity between the cases is that the bodies were found in the channel.
Police have yet to determine a cause of death for either person.
A person who routinely exercises near the channel expressed alarm at the bodies being found.
John Hollaway routinely works out near the waterway.
“I was going over the [Del Amo Boulevard Bridge] and when I was coming back over, that’s when I saw the yellow tape … and when you see yellow tape, you kind of know what it is,” John Hollaway told ABC 7.
“I started to get off and look down there. I just didn’t want that memory etched in my head, especially now knowing it was a child now.”
And questions remain along the 15.7-mile waterway.
Neither person has been identified.
Neither cause of death has been determined.
The investigation remains ongoing.
