BELIEVE IT OR NOT, POLICE SAY A 21-YEAR-OLD MAN WAS STABBED STEPS AWAY FROM ST. PATRICK’S CATHEDRAL AND SAKS FIFTH AVENUE… AND THE KNIFEMAN ESCAPED IN A BLACK BMW WHILE THE INVESTIGATION REMAINS ONGOING.
On Monday, a 21-year-old man was stabbed just steps away from St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Saks Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, police said.
The stabbing between the two iconic Big Apple sites broke out around 7:30 p.m. in Midtown, according to the NYPD.
Authorities reported that the violence occurred at the intersection of West 50th Street and Fifth Avenue.
Cops said the incident between the two landmarks happened after the 21-year-old man got into a dispute with an unknown individual.
The confrontation between the two quickly escalated into a heated argument on the street.
That heated argument boiled over when the assailant punctured the man in the arm and torso, police said.
Then the jabber hopped into a black BMW and disappeared into the wind, cops said.
Police said the knifeman is on the lam following the attack.
EMS rushed to the Midtown intersection to assist the victim.
First responders transported the wounded man to Bellevue Hospital.

The victim is in stable condition at the hospital, police said.
But cops said there are no arrests at this time.
The NYPD stated that the investigation into the stabbing remains ongoing.
The attack at West 50th Street and Fifth Avenue happened just hours after another knife attack in Midtown.
Police said Pamela Cisneros, 49, randomly knifed a man and a woman less than a block away at West 41st Street and Seventh Avenue.
Cisneros killed the 32-year-old woman during that encounter, cops said.
She also critically injured the 68-year-old man, police reported.
The violence by Cisneros occurred in a 20-second span, cops said.
And Cisneros was shot and killed by police.
At West 50th Street, no suspects have been taken into custody.
The knifeman is on the lam.
The investigation remains ongoing.
