A 19-year-old Virginia man is facing 20 felony counts following an investigation into suspected online child exploitation, according to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
Isaiah Addington, 19, is of Weber City, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office said.
The 19-year-old was arrested on Monday and charged with 20 counts of possession of CSAM, according to the sheriff’s office.
The investigation began in August after investigators received a cyber tip through the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, authorities said.
Investigators eventually identified Addington as the suspect, according to the sheriff’s office. He was then taken into custody, deputies said.

The case was investigated with assistance from the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, officials said.
That task force works with law enforcement agencies investigating the exploitation of children through technology and the internet, according to authorities.
Authorities used the arrest to issue a reminder to parents, according to officials.
Online exploitation is not limited to social media, according to authorities. It can also happen through messaging apps, gaming platforms and other online services, officials warned.
Addington is accused and not convicted, according to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
