A 32-year-old Beloit woman has been sentenced to four years in prison for human trafficking after operating a prostitution ring, authorities said.
Holly Lynn Converse, 32, is of Beloit.
Converse helped operate a prostitution ring that exploited women struggling with addiction, authorities said.
The Beloit woman and another woman recruited women battling drug addiction to perform commercial sex acts for money, according to the criminal complaint.
Meetings were allegedly arranged through an escort website, according to prosecutors. The encounters took place at homes and hotels in Beloit, Wisconsin, and South Beloit, Illinois, the complaint states.
The operation reportedly involved three women between 2024 and 2026, according to court documents.

The recruited women were not the ones walking away with the money, authorities said. Investigators alleged the victims were paid in drugs while Converse collected the cash.
Police arrested Converse in March, according to records.
The defendant was convicted on June 3, court records show.
On Aug. 28, a judge sentenced her to four years in prison, according to prosecutors.
The prison term will be followed by 10 years of extended supervision, according to the court order.
Converse will also be required to register as a sex offender for 15 years, court records show. She was ordered to have no contact with the victims, according to the ruling.
She received 180 days of credit for time already served, according to court records.
