A Florida woman was sentenced to 25 years in state prison after being convicted of multiple sex crimes involving a child under 12, prosecutors said.
Jenna Ann Hoffman, 27, resides in Brooksville.
Earlier this year, Hoffman was found guilty of promoting a sexual performance by a child and possession of a sexual performance by a child, records show.
She was also convicted of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 12 and unlawful use of a two-way communication device, court records show.
This week, the defendant received 25 years in the Florida Department of Corrections, authorities said.
Following her prison term, Hoffman will also be required to register as a sexual predator for life, officials said.
Money was the motive behind the crimes, prosecutors said. But she never even received it, according to prosecutors.
In September 2024, the investigation began after the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office received a cybertip concerning an online account distributing CSAM, deputies said.
Investigators identified files allegedly created by Hoffman involving the young victim, according to authorities.
Account and IP records ultimately led detectives to the woman’s Brooksville residence, police said.
Detectives later executed a search warrant at the residence, authorities said.
Hoffman admitted owning and operating the account, authorities said. She acknowledged creating and sharing the material with another online user in exchange for money that was never actually paid, according to investigators.
Chief Assistant State Attorney Walter Forgie called the exploitation of such a young child for financial gain “inexcusable.”
