A 25-year-old man allegedly sneaked into a Florida hotel room and concealed himself beneath a couple’s bed while they slept, police said.
Ritchel Calvaire, 25, was arrested inside the couple’s room at the Provident Doral hotel in Doral, Florida.
The couple checked into the Provident Doral around 9 a.m. on September 9 and eventually went to sleep, according to police.
During the early morning hours, the woman awoke after feeling movement near the bed, but went back to sleep. Around 6:30 a.m., she awakened again after sensing movement directly underneath it.
About an hour later, while checking beneath the bed for belongings, she allegedly discovered Calvaire hiding underneath, police said.
The couple immediately left the room and contacted hotel security.

When an officer arrived and entered the room, the suspect was reportedly still concealed beneath the bed, police said.
Investigators believe Calvaire jumped a balcony fence and entered through the room’s rear sliding glass door at an unknown time, police said. He then allegedly hid under the bed while the couple slept.
Hotel management told police the 25-year-old had previously stayed at the property as a guest.
Staff instructed him not to return after he checked out August 31. Security allegedly escorted him away after he returned approximately two days later.
Following his arrest, Calvaire declined to speak with investigators without an attorney present.
He was charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling and resisting an officer without violence, according to police.
Available reporting does not specify what led to the resisting charge.
