“WE LEFT HIM IN THE ROAD”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, POLICE SAY THREE SUSPECTED GANG MEMBERS BRUTALLY BEAT, PISTOL-WHIPPED AND STOMPED AN 18-YEAR-OLD MAN IN THE HEAD AT LEAST 11 TIMES DURING A BIRTHDAY PARTY FIGHT… AND ALL THREE NOW FACE ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGES.
On August 21, 2026, officers responded to reports of possible gunshots in Greenfield, California.
The call brought police to the 200 block of Bianco Way at around 10:09 p.m.
Upon arrival, investigators learned that a birthday party had been held nearby.
The gathering had been organized for a 19-year-old woman.
Attendees at the party ranged in age from 15 to 20.
About 30 minutes later, officers in Soledad responded to a medical emergency.
The call involved an 18-year-old man from Chualar.
He had suffered serious head injuries.
Investigators determined he was the victim of an assault connected to the Greenfield party.
Police later obtained video footage of the incident.
The video allegedly showed multiple people kicking and stomping the victim while he was unconscious in the roadway.
The recording captured strikes directed at his head and torso.
Police said the victim was stomped in the head at least 11 times.
A 16-year-old suspect also allegedly struck the victim in the head multiple times with a firearm.
The victim suffered a broken jaw in the attack.
He also lost several teeth.
But he could not tell officers how the confrontation began.
The victim told investigators he could not remember what started the fight because he lost consciousness.
Police also believe the victim was robbed during the attack.
Investigators said approximately seven to 10 people were involved in the fight.
Authorities identified three individuals as the primary aggressors.
Police named 18-year-old Arturo Robles Gonzalez as one of the primary aggressors.
Investigators also identified 18-year-old Jeremiah Joel Rodriguez.
A 16-year-old suspect was identified alongside them.
Investigators identified all three as known gang members.
Gonzalez was arrested and charged with attempted murder and robbery.
On August 26, 2026, search warrants were served in Salinas, California.
Officers served the warrants at residences on Garner Way and Lenny Street.
Rodriguez and the juvenile suspect were arrested during the investigation.
Rodriguez was booked on suspicion of attempted murder.
He was also booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Authorities further booked Rodriguez on suspicion of assault by means likely to cause great bodily injury.
He was additionally booked on suspicion of participating in a criminal street gang.
The 16-year-old juvenile was also charged with attempted murder.
Yet the weapon involved has not been found.
Investigators said the firearm allegedly used during the assault has not been recovered.
Police are continuing to review video of the altercation.
They are working to identify others who may have participated in the attack.
And the investigation extends to the event itself.
Authorities are also investigating the party, including reports of underage drinking.
Investigators are examining the roles of responsible adults and property owners.
Additional arrests remain possible.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
