“I CAN DRIVE JUST FINE”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, DEPUTIES SAY A 57-YEAR-OLD NEW YORK MAN DROVE INTO A DITCH WITH A BLOOD ALCOHOL LEVEL OVER THREE TIMES THE LEGAL LIMIT… AND HE NOW FACES MULTIPLE DWI CHARGES IN MOREAU TOWN COURT.
A 57-year-old New York driver is facing several drunk driving charges after crashing off the road in Saratoga County.
Clifford Murphy III, a resident of Northumberland, was taken into custody on Wednesday night.
Deputies from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene of a crash on Mott Road in Moreau.
Upon arrival, deputies found that Murphy had driven his vehicle completely off the roadway.
The vehicle came to rest inside a ditch.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
No other people were involved in the incident.
Authorities confirmed that nobody was injured.
But investigators say testing showed Murphy was operating the vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of .27 percent.

In New York, the statutory legal limit is .08 percent.
Murphy’s alleged BAC was more than three times that legal threshold.
Deputies charged him with aggravated driving while intoxicated.
He was also charged with driving while intoxicated.
Additionally, Murphy faces a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 percent or greater.
Law enforcement also cited him for moving from a lane unsafely.
Following his arrest, Murphy was not held in custody.
Deputies released him on appearance tickets.
And he is scheduled to answer all of the charges in Moreau Town Court.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
