“I NEVER HARASSED HER”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, PROSECUTORS SAY SOUTH CAROLINA PASTOR JOHN PAUL MILLER TRACKED AND CYBERSTALKED HIS ESTRANGED WIFE IN THE MONTHS BEFORE HER SUICIDE… AND HIS FEDERAL TRIAL HAS NOW BEEN DELAYED UNTIL OCTOBER 2026.
A federal judge has delayed the trial of John Paul Miller, a 47-year-old South Carolina pastor.
Miller is accused of cyberstalking his estranged wife, Mica Miller, in the months preceding her death.
He faces federal charges of cyberstalking and making false statements to investigators.
Miller has pleaded not guilty to both federal counts.
In November 2022, the alleged pattern of harassment began, according to federal prosecutors.
Prosecutors allege the harassment continued until Mica Miller’s death on April 27, 2024.
According to prosecutors, the alleged conduct included posting a nude photograph of her online.
Prosecutors also allege that Miller placed tracking devices on her vehicle.
He is accused of damaging her tires.
The allegations state that he interfered with her finances.
Prosecutors further allege that Miller contacted his estranged wife more than 50 times in a single day.
Ten days before her death, Mica Miller filed for separation.
On April 27, 2024, she called 911 from a North Carolina park.
She told the emergency dispatcher that she intended to take her own life.
She died that day.

Following her death, her family accused Miller of subjecting her to psychological abuse and harassment.
Her family subsequently filed a civil lawsuit against him.
In 2024, that civil lawsuit was settled.
The terms of the settlement were not made public.
But Miller’s defense attorneys requested more time before proceeding to a federal trial.
His attorneys stated that they are actively interviewing witnesses.
They also stated they are seeking documents they believe could contain exculpatory evidence.
The defense noted that this material is not currently in the possession of the government.
Judge Joseph Dawson III granted the defense request for a postponement.
The federal trial has now been rescheduled for the October 2026 docket.
And Miller is named in separate civil litigation.
Those civil lawsuits accuse him of sexual misconduct involving girls while he worked as a teacher and pastor.
Yet Miller has not been criminally charged with any alleged sexual misconduct.
The federal cyberstalking and false statement case remains unresolved.
Miller is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
His trial is set for the October 2026 docket.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
