A Florida woman shoved her neighbor inside her residence and dumped a bucket of human feces onto her during a confrontation over an alleged affair, according to investigators.
Fifty-year-old Yirsi Esperanza Machado Rivera lived next door to the victim in the Royal Country Mobile Homes community in northwest Opa-locka, police said.
The victim has not been publicly identified, according to authorities. However, investigators said the two women lived on separate sides of a divided trailer in the community near Miami Gardens.
On September 7, 2026, deputies responded to the mobile home community around 6:15 p.m. following reports of a confrontation between the two women, the arrest report states.
Deputies said Machado Rivera walked over to the victim’s side of the divided trailer and began banging loudly on her door.
When the neighbor answered, the suspect allegedly accused the woman of carrying on a sexual relationship with Machado Rivera’s husband, according to investigators.
Machado Rivera then allegedly forced her way inside the victim’s residence and shoved her, according to the arrest report.
Investigators said the defendant then threw a bucket filled with human feces onto the woman before leaving the home.
According to the arrest report, a witness told investigators that Machado Rivera had discussed the plan before confronting the woman. The witness allegedly told deputies that Machado Rivera said she had defecated into a bucket specifically so she could throw it in the victim’s face, the affidavit states.
When deputies later interviewed Machado Rivera about the incident, the suspect provided a completely different version of what happened, according to investigators.

Machado Rivera told deputies that her toilet was broken and she had been forced to use the bucket as a makeshift toilet, police said.
The suspect claimed she had simply been trying to dispose of the bucket of what she referred to as “caca” when the dispute began, investigators said.
Machado Rivera claimed she and the neighbor began arguing because of the smell and other problems caused by the waste, according to the report. She denied forcing her way into the woman’s residence and denied throwing the feces onto her, deputies said.
Machado Rivera also alleged that during the confrontation, the neighbor struck her in the head with a bat, causing a laceration, according to police. Investigators, however, have not publicly confirmed the defendant’s claim that the neighbor struck her with a bat, authorities said.
Authorities also have not presented any public evidence establishing that the victim was actually having an affair with Machado Rivera’s husband, according to the report. The alleged affair was strictly an accusation investigators said the defendant made during the confrontation.
Machado Rivera was arrested and charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling and battery, court records show.
On September 8, 2026, the accused resident appeared in Miami-Dade bond court before Judge Mindy Glazer, according to records.
During the hearing, Glazer summarized the allegations against the defendant, according to court records. Glazer noted that Machado Rivera allegedly believed the neighbor was having relations with her husband, pushed her way into the woman’s home and threw a bucket of feces onto her, records show.
Machado Rivera was ordered held without bond while the case proceeds, according to court records.
The defendant remained held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, records show.
