A 34-year-old Florida ex-con was arrested for allegedly smashing up an Orlando Arby’s with a metal pipe, according to an online arrest warrant.
Adonis Leyva, 34, of Florida, had been released from prison just last month, according to News 6.
The pipe rampage began Monday when a man shattered the window of the fast-food restaurant, an arrest warrant said.
A female employee inside the Arby’s was terrified during the vandalism, the warrant stated.
Leyva then marched next door to bash a Dunkin Donuts sign, according to the document.
The ex-con allegedly hurled the metal pipe at passing cars while walking along busy East Colonial Drive, police said.
Responding officers caught up with the suspect and arrested him at a nearby Wawa, according to authorities.
He was hit with a second felony charge on Tuesday, court records show. Employees at a nearby PNC Bank discovered a damaged ATM that surveillance cameras linked to the previous day’s pipe rampage, according to investigators.
The arrest came less than a month after Leyva completed his prison term, jail records show.

The Florida man had served just under a year behind bars for killing a helpless swan, according to News 6.
That attack took place in late August of last year at Lake Eola, WESH reported.
Leyva had been spotted carrying the dead bird around the popular Orlando park, according to the station.
A horrified onlooker confronted him at the park over the killing, News 6 reported. The suspect told the witness he killed the bird for “my food,” according to the station.
“I was hungry, so I hunted,” Leyva said as officers placed him in cuffs, police said.
The defendant admitted to responding officers that he killed the swan, and he subsequently pleaded no contest to animal cruelty charges, WESH reported.
The park incident had left area residents frightened, according to reports. Despite his baffling crime, a mental competency evaluation found Leyva fit to face the charges, records show.
“I don’t think anybody that does cruelty or has harming in their hearts should be free,” local resident Elizabeth Guerrero told News 6. “Nobody would feel safe.”
The ex-con is now charged with two counts of criminal mischief, both classified as third-degree felonies, according to charging documents.
The defendant is currently being held in custody on a $6,000 bond, jail records show.
