A 44-year-old New York mother allegedly held up a Speedway convenience store with what appeared to be a pistol while her 5-year-old child waited inside the getaway car, authorities said.
Trisha Lee Cayea-Lord, 44, of New York, was arrested following an investigation conducted by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
On May 7, Cayea-Lord entered a Speedway convenience store in Halfmoon around 2:14 a.m., according to investigators.
She wore a mask inside the business to conceal her identity, investigators said.
Inside, she allegedly displayed what appeared to be a pistol and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect then fled with approximately $400, according to investigators.

Authorities said she then climbed into a waiting vehicle that she allegedly used to flee the scene. Her 5-year-old child was inside the car during the alleged robbery, according to officials.
Deputies from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office subsequently arrested the mother following their investigation, officials said.
Cayea-Lord was charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, court records show.
She is also facing counts of tampering with physical evidence and endangering the welfare of a child, according to authorities.
The defendant is currently accused of the offenses and has not been convicted, records state.
She was ordered held on $100,000 cash bail, $200,000 secured bond or $1 million partially secured bond.
