Pamela Joy Fox, accused of smashing a glass jar into a 60-year-old’s face, is indicted for malicious wounding

A 50-year-old Virginia woman allegedly struck a 60-year-old in the face with a glass jar during a dispute at a mobile home park, police said.

Pamela Joy Fox, 50, is from Edinburg, Virginia.

On January 14, deputies responded to the 100 block of Lamberts Villa around 9:15 p.m. after a disturbance was reported, according to the sheriff’s office.

The incident occurred at one of the residences inside the Edinburg mobile home park, police said.

Deputies characterized the dispute only as “some type of confrontation,” according to officials.

Fox allegedly struck the 60-year-old woman in the face with a glass jar during the altercation, investigators said.

The victim began bleeding within seconds of the blow, police said.

“The deputy arrived and spoke to the victim who received an injury to the nose and facial area (and) was dripping blood profusely,” said Maj. Scott Proctor of the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office.

An ambulance rushed the injured woman to Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, authorities said.

The victim was treated at the hospital for a broken nose, according to officials. She was left with blood pouring from her face, police said.

An ambulance crew also treated Fox for a smaller injury suffered in the confrontation, police said. She was not transported to the hospital.

Deputies took the suspect into custody without incident, according to the sheriff’s office.

Fox was booked into the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail, deputies said.

An emergency protective order was issued against the defendant that same night, records show.

In March, the case was sent to a grand jury, according to authorities.

Fox was indicted on a charge of malicious wounding that April, and no further outcome has been reported, records show.
