A California man allegedly offered his ex-girlfriend $500 to drop all charges after his current girlfriend attacked her vehicle with a crowbar, police said.
The suspects were identified as Justin Deger, 35, and Sophia Jacoby, 30, according to Fresno Police.
On Aug. 7, around 1:15 a.m., Deger and Jacoby showed up while Deger’s ex was eating near North Brawley and West Clinton Avenue, according to police.
The woman got inside her car after the couple approached, police said.
Jacoby began punching and kicking the vehicle, police said. She then allegedly hit the car with a crowbar, according to investigators.
Deger allegedly did not stop Jacoby during the incident, according to police. The couple then left the area.
Leaving the scene did not conclude the encounter, according to police.

While officers were still with Deger’s ex, Deger called her from a blocked number, police said.
He told the woman that police were at his home, the department said. Deger allegedly told her that she needed to tell them to stop, according to investigators.
Deger then allegedly offered the woman $500 to drop all the charges, police said.
The suspect repeatedly called and texted his ex offering her the money, according to police.
Jacoby was arrested on Aug. 10, police said.
The 30-year-old faces charges including vandalism, assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy, according to authorities.
Deger was not arrested until Sept. 2, when an automated license plate reader alerted officers to his vehicle, police said.
Deger faces charges of conspiracy and dissuading a witness, according to police. Both suspects remain accused and have not been convicted.
