“I AM ABOVE THE LAW”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, AUTHORITIES SAY FORMER HARDY POLICE CHIEF SCOTT ROSE FACED A MULTI-AGENCY ABUSE INVESTIGATION… AND A JURY HAS NOW CONVICTED HIM OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AND FURNISHING ALCOHOL TO A MINOR.
Former Hardy Police Chief Scott Rose has been convicted of second-degree sexual assault.
He was also convicted of knowingly furnishing alcohol to a minor.
A Sharp County jury returned the guilty verdicts on a Friday afternoon.
Rose was sentenced to a $15,000 fine on the second-degree sexual assault conviction.
Then came the penalty on the remaining count.
For furnishing alcohol to a minor, he received one year in the county jail.

He was also ordered to pay a $2,500 fine on that charge.
The case began with a multi-agency investigation in spring 2025.
That inquiry started after the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office received allegations of abuse.
Federal and state agencies participated in the matter.
The FBI, Homeland Security and the Arkansas State Police were all involved in the investigation.
Rose was arrested in June 2025.
And he was later fired from his position as Hardy police chief.
