“I AM NOT COMING OUT”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, AUTHORITIES SAY 42-YEAR-OLD DANIEL LE BRUN BARRICADED HIMSELF WITH WEAPONS INSIDE AN OREGON BUSINESS WHERE A CONCEALED ROOM WAS DISCOVERED… AND HE IS NOW CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER, SEX ABUSE AND KIDNAPPING.
An Oregon man has been arrested on multiple serious charges.
The charges include attempted murder and sex abuse.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office detailed the allegations in a news release on Tuesday, September 2.
The case began on the evening of August 27.
That evening, a juvenile fled from a commercial location.
The minor went directly to the Cornelius Police Department.
The age of the minor has not been disclosed.
Authorities said the juvenile reported being assaulted at a business.
That business was located at the Plaza Grande complex.
Officers responded to the complex following the report.
There, authorities located 42-year-old Daniel Le Brun of Cornelius.
Le Brun was found “barricaded inside his business” at the Plaza Grande complex, according to authorities.
He refused to comply with officers.
Police said Le Brun wouldn’t surrender.
He was armed with multiple knives.
He was also armed with multiple “less-lethal-style” guns, police said.
Then authorities sought support from a tactical negotiations team.
Authorities also sought support from a crisis negotiations unit.
Officers deployed equipment to track the suspect from above.
Police used a drone to keep an eye on Le Brun during the encounter.
The standoff lasted into the early morning hours.
Police said Le Brun was ultimately apprehended around 1:00 a.m. on August 28.
But he was not booked immediately.

Le Brun was first taken to a hospital.
He required care because he consumed a “potentially lethal amount of medication,” according to authorities.
After receiving medical attention, Le Brun was booked in the Washington County Jail.
Investigators then focused on the business where the alleged assault occurred.
“Further investigation into the crime scene led to the discovery of a concealed room inside the business complex where the crimes occurred,” police said.
Multiple criminal counts have been filed in the case.
He is charged with attempted murder.
He is charged with sex abuse.
He is charged with assault.
He is charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
And KPTV reports Le Brun is also charged with kidnapping.
Law enforcement officials are concerned there may be other victims.
The police are now searching for additional potential victims.
“Detectives are concerned that additional victims have not been identified and believe Le Brun had access to children through his memorabilia business,” police said.
Details about Le Brun’s ties to the property were reported by KPTV.
An operations manager for the business where Le Brun allegedly barricaded himself spoke to the station.
The manager told KPTV that Le Brun was formerly married to the store’s owner.
The manager said Le Brun is homeless.
Per the TV station, the manager said Le Brun had stored his personal belongings at the business.
Police have asked anyone with knowledge of the defendant to come forward.
The Cornelius Police Department said “detectives want to speak with anyone who witnessed the assault or has information about Le Brun and encourage parents to speak with their children about any contact they have had with him, whether at the store or otherwise.”
Information regarding whether Le Brun had retained legal representation wasn’t immediately available.
