“I AM TAKING MY FATHER’S GUN”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, AUTHORITIES SAY 17-YEAR-OLD DRAKONA LEE CLARK SHOT THREE PEOPLE INSIDE HIS FAMILY’S HOME… AND HE NOW FACES THREE COUNTS OF ATTEMPTED MURDER.
Drakona Lee Clark is 17 years old.
The teenager is from Moulton, Iowa.
Authorities say the incident occurred on July 13 inside a family home.
According to authorities, the events began with an altercation inside the residence.
Investigators allege Clark went into his father’s bedroom.
There, investigators allege, he retrieved a .40-caliber semiautomatic handgun.
Investigators allege he then intentionally shot three people.
One victim was his estranged stepmother.
Another victim was his 20-year-old brother.
The third was his brother’s 21-year-old girlfriend.
Then Clark fled the scene, deputies say.

He was found approximately eight blocks away.
Deputies found him suffering from a head injury.
He was taken to the University of Iowa Hospital for treatment.
But after receiving treatment, he was arrested.
He faces three counts of attempted murder.
And he faces three counts of willful injury causing serious injury.
Court records show that no adult was willing to authorize mental-health treatment or medication on his behalf.
Because of that, court records show Clark has been appointed a guardian ad litem.
Court records show he has also been appointed a public defender.
Clark is scheduled to be arraigned in Centerville.
That arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 8.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
