A longtime pastor with decades of ministry experience across multiple states is now facing serious felony charges involving a minor.
Wade Booth, 70, was taken into custody earlier this week.
On Monday night, Booth was booked into the Linn County Justice Center.
He stands charged with unlawful sexual relations with a minor.
Authorities have also charged him with witness intimidation.
Booth is currently being held at the Linn County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility.
His bond was set at $750,000.
He has served as the pastor of First Baptist Church of Pleasanton since 2007.

But his background in religious ministry spans several decades and multiple state lines.
Booth previously held ministry roles across Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma dating back to the late 1970s.
In addition to his pastorships, Booth reportedly spent years working as a missionary church planter.
He helped start two churches in Oklahoma prior to his move to Pleasanton.
Yet the congregation he led has remained silent following the allegations.
First Baptist Church of Pleasanton had not publicly commented on his arrest at the time of reporting.
Booth remains in custody under his six-figure bond.
He has been charged with felonies.
He has not been convicted.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
