A Massachusetts daycare owner faces multiple assault charges after home-security cameras allegedly captured children being abused, court records show.
Karen Rezendes, 51, ran Oh Nana’s Daycare from her Kingston home for several years, police said.
The daycare cared mostly for children ages 1 to 4, according to investigators.
Home-security recordings allegedly showed Rezendes dragging a toddler by one arm and shoving a child to the floor, court documents state.
Footage also allegedly showed the provider forcing another child into a crib with her knee, police said. Another clip showed a child’s head striking a counter and jolting backward, according to the records.
Investigators believe the recorded incidents happened around December 2024, court documents state.
The wider abuse allegations cover multiple children in recent years, according to police.
The case reached Kingston police on July 5 after Bridgewater police interviewed a child and sent over a written report and video footage, court records show.

Rezendes’ husband later shared the home-security recordings with parents, the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families and the Department of Early Education and Care, according to documents.
A 5-year-old said Rezendes threw her into a “spooky” attic and left her with “2 boo-boos,” court documents state.
Another child answered yes when asked whether “Nana” hit them in the face, police said. One child described a head injury with “bad blood,” the records state.
Police found evidence supporting the children’s accounts, documents state. Investigators believe more victims may exist, according to police.
Oh Nana’s Daycare is no longer licensed, records show.
Rezendes turned herself in on August 28, according to court documents.
She pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault and battery on a child causing injury and three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, along with multiple additional assault-and-battery counts, records show.
A judge set $7,500 cash bail and ordered Rezendes held at the Plymouth County House of Correction, according to court records.
Her pretrial hearing was scheduled for September 4, records show.
