A married Ohio father will avoid a prison sentence after allegedly lying about his age and taking a 15-year-old girl to Wisconsin, court records show.
Jordan Romine, 24, is a married father from Dayton.
Romine met the New Philadelphia teenager online and allegedly lied to her about his age, authorities said.
On April 26, the Dayton man left with the teenager in the middle of the night, according to authorities.
Law enforcement officers later used license plate-reading cameras to track the pair down in Wisconsin, police said.
Romine was accused of taking the minor across state lines after making contact with her online, records show.

The defendant ultimately pleaded guilty to low-level felony counts of endangering children and interference with custody, according to court documents.
Judge Ryan Styer sentenced the 24-year-old father to five years of probation and 180 days in a local jail, court records show.
Styer wrote that Ohio law restricted his sentencing options and prevented him from imposing a prison term. Romine’s convictions were classified under state law as low-level, nonviolent offenses, the judge noted.
Romine had already spent 113 days in jail awaiting resolution of the case. That credit left the Dayton man with roughly two more months remaining in local custody, records show.
The judge also fined Romine $1,000 and ordered him to complete 250 hours of community service, court records state.
Romine is barred from having any contact with the girl or her family as he finishes his remaining jail term, records show.
