BELIEVE IT OR NOT, AUTHORITIES SAY PASTOR JOHN-PAUL MILLER CYBERSTALKED HIS WIFE AND LIED TO INVESTIGATORS BEFORE HER SUICIDE… AND HIS CASE IS SCHEDULED TO GO TO COURT IN OCTOBER.
Mica Miller was 30 years old when she died by suicide in April 2024.
She was married to John-Paul Miller, a 46-year-old pastor.
Their marriage was described as tumultuous.
In August, Netflix released the docuseries Death of a Pastor’s Wife.
The project examined the marriage between Mica and John-Paul before her death.
Mica’s family and friends looked back on the relationship in the docuseries.
Her siblings claimed that John-Paul had her involuntarily hospitalized at least once while they were married.
During her life, Mica was open about her mental health struggles.
In the docuseries, her siblings explained that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder while she was engaged to John-Paul.
As her spouse, he was designated to oversee her care.
John-Paul allegedly described some of her episodes as psychotic and suicidal.
Her siblings claimed that she was committed to a mental health facility several times over the course of their marriage.
Those commitments were not always carried out with her consent, according to her siblings.
Her first stay at a facility took place shortly before the couple wed.
Mica was released from that facility less than a week before marrying John-Paul in 2017.
She was reportedly prescribed medication following her release from the facility.
But her siblings claimed John-Paul’s alleged emotional manipulation worsened her mental state.
They also addressed the circumstances surrounding her final stay at a facility.
The family claimed that Mica’s final hospitalization was involuntary.
They alleged that John-Paul forced her to go.
According to the family, he contacted a mental health facility himself.
He allegedly made false claims to the facility regarding her mental state.
Mica’s siblings claimed that she later reported his actions to law enforcement.
She told police that her husband took her car during that final hospitalization, according to her siblings.
Her siblings added that she told police he also took her phone.
She told police that he took her laptop as well.
Both her phone and her laptop contained nude photos of her.

In the months leading up to her death, Mica reported that she was the victim of stalking.
She died by suicide in April 2024.

Before her death was officially ruled a suicide, John-Paul spoke publicly to his church.
He addressed his congregation at Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
He told the congregation that Mica died from “self-induced” circumstances.
“Y’all knew that she wasn’t well mentally,” he said, according to the docuseries.
“And that she needed her medicine that was hard to get to her…just keep our family in your prayers.”
Then police launched an investigation into the case.
The investigation began after it was revealed that Mica had reported being the victim of stalking in the months leading up to her death.
Authorities ultimately ruled her death a suicide.
Yet investigators continued to look into her husband.
Authorities gathered evidence regarding his conduct toward Mica.
In November 2024, John-Paul was arrested.
Authorities gathered evidence that he cyberstalked Mica from November 2022 until her death.
Authorities also determined that he lied to investigators while being interviewed about the case.
The U.S. Department of Justice announced his indictment in a statement.
Federal officials outlined a series of allegations regarding his actions.
John-Paul was accused of posting a nude photo of Mica online.
He also allegedly placed tracking devices on her vehicle.
In addition, he allegedly contacted her more than 50 times in a single day.
The indictment further alleged that he manipulated her finances.
John-Paul has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He posted bond after his arrest.
He is currently out of jail.
His case is scheduled to go to court in October.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
