Dustin Niswonger, 41, of Salem, is behind bars in Fulton County.
Police say a domestic disturbance escalated into a fight with responding officers.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Niswonger’s daughter reported the initial confrontation to officers.
She told officers he allegedly hit her with a door.
She also told officers that he threw a can of beans at her.
Police said the daughter had red marks on her knees.
She had red marks on one arm as well, police said.
While officers were investigating, Niswonger allegedly threw a cigarette in an officer’s face.
Police then used a Taser.
Yet authorities said it did not appear to affect him.
Niswonger allegedly ran toward a nearby truck.
An officer tackled him.

Then, police said, Niswonger began fighting with both officers.
The physical struggle prompted officers to use a baton on his legs to gain control.
One officer suffered injuries during the struggle.
That officer sustained injuries to both knees and one hand, according to police.
Niswonger was booked into the Fulton County Jail.
His bond was set at $10,000.
He is charged with second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer.
He is also charged with a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.
He faces a misdemeanor count of third-degree domestic battery.
He is charged with a misdemeanor count of fleeing on foot.
And he faces a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.
He is charged, not convicted.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
