A 64-year-old Missouri man pleaded guilty to second-degree murder after shooting an Amazon delivery driver in the head with an air rifle, authorities said.
Thomas Coy, 64, entered the plea in the killing of 23-year-old Amazon delivery driver Jasmine Taylor at his driveway in Wentworth.
In February 2025, Taylor was approaching Coy’s driveway to deliver packages when he shot her in the head with a .22-caliber air rifle, authorities said.
Taylor died several days later, according to officials.
Neighbors told investigators that Coy had previously complained about delivery vehicles driving too fast on his road. But the case initially did not even look like a shooting, police said.

Investigators responded to what was reported as a vehicle crash and found Taylor’s Amazon van crashed into a fence, with Taylor found nearby in a ditch, authorities said. Then the hospital discovered she had been shot, officials said.
Coy subsequently admitted firing the air rifle, authorities said.
The Wentworth man also admitted removing Taylor from the delivery van and placing her in the ditch after the shooting, investigators said.
On September 14, Coy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
His sentencing is scheduled for November 2.
