“I AM JUST GOING TO PULL UP AND PULL THE TRIGGER”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, AUTHORITIES SAY 53-YEAR-OLD SANDRA DAVIS PULLED UP ALONGSIDE A MAN SITTING IN A PICKUP TRUCK BED AND FIRED A SINGLE FATAL SHOT… AND SHE HAS NOW RECEIVED 25 YEARS TO SERVE IN STATE CUSTODY.
On May 1, 2023, police officers responded to the 1200 block of Willie Mae Road in Terry, Mississippi.
The response was initiated after authorities received reports of gunfire in the area.
Upon arrival, responding officers discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The injured man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities subsequently identified the victim as 50-year-old Ray Wolfe.
During the investigation, a witness provided an account of the shooting to investigators.
The witness told investigators that Wolfe had been sitting in the bed of a brown 2000 Chevrolet Silverado.
According to the witness, 53-year-old Sandra Davis drove by the location in a black Honda Accord.
Davis stopped her vehicle alongside the Chevrolet truck.
She then fired a single shot directly at Wolfe.
The witness initially believed that Davis had fired the shot toward a wooded area.
Then the witness observed Wolfe jump from the bed of the truck.
Wolfe ran a short distance before collapsing.

Following the shooting, Davis was arrested by law enforcement.
Davis was initially charged with murder.
She was also initially charged with drive-by shooting.
Additionally, Davis was initially charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle.
Authorities have not publicly released a motive for the shooting.
On August 25, 2026, Davis entered guilty pleas in court.
Now 57 years old, Davis pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
She also pleaded guilty to shooting into an occupied vehicle.
Following the plea, Davis was sentenced to 40 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
The court suspended 15 years of that sentence.
That left Davis with 25 years to serve in state custody.
Davis also received a five-year sentence for shooting into an occupied vehicle.
And the court ordered the sentences to run concurrently.
In total, Davis will serve 25 years.
