A 44-year-old New Jersey registered sex offender has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 3-year-old girl who was related to him and creating illegal material documenting the abuse, prosecutors said.
Jason Anderson, 44, is a resident of Haddon Heights, according to court documents.
Investigators found evidence that Anderson sexually abused the child and created illegal material documenting the acts, prosecutors said.
The abuse was not discovered because Anderson turned himself in, prosecutors said. Another person found the illegal material on his phone, and Anderson was arrested that same day in February 2025, according to officials.
Investigators later determined that the defendant had also shared the illegal material online, prosecutors said.
Anderson distributed the material on the internet using a disturbing screen name, according to investigators.
The defendant was already required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law, prosecutors said. He failed to maintain that registration, according to authorities.

Anderson has now pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated sexual assault, prosecutors said.
The defendant also pleaded guilty to first-degree child endangerment for manufacturing CSAM, according to prosecutors.
He entered an additional guilty plea to third-degree failure to register as a sex offender, prosecutors said.
Under the plea agreement, Anderson is expected to receive 25 years with no possibility of parole, prosecutors said. That term is to be followed by another 10-year sentence with parole eligibility, according to officials.
Because of how the sentences operate, the defendant will have to serve approximately 33½ years before he can even become eligible for parole, prosecutors said.
Anderson will also face parole supervision for life if he is eventually released from prison, according to prosecutors.
Sentencing for the defendant is scheduled for October 30, 2026, according to court records.
