“I THOUGHT I COULD GET AWAY”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, AUTHORITIES SAY ARLESS DALTON JR. COMMITTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING AFTER A VICTIM ARRIVED AT A HOSPITAL WITH A GUNSHOT WOUND AT 3:30 A.M., PROMPTING AN INVESTIGATION THAT ENDED WITH HIS ARREST IN DUBLIN, VIRGINIA.
On Aug. 31, deputies received information around 3:30 a.m. that a person had arrived at LewisGale Hospital in Pulaski.
The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound.
Investigators with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report.
Deputies immediately began looking into what happened early Monday morning.
And the investigation resulted in a warrant being issued for Arless Dalton Jr.
The warrant charged Dalton with malicious wounding.
Then law enforcement tracked the suspect to another town.

Authorities located Dalton in Dublin, Virginia.
Deputies took him into custody.
Yet a significant question surrounding the case remains unanswered.
One major detail remains unknown.
Authorities have not yet determined where the shooting actually happened.
Investigators nevertheless believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
Deputies said there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the public.
Dalton has been charged, not convicted.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
