What investigators found inside Purcell home after Jason Bradley Beene called 911 admitting he attacked his wife

An Oklahoma husband was arrested after allegedly attacking his wife and leaving her severely injured inside their home, police said.

Jason Bradley Beene lived in Purcell, Oklahoma.

On April 28, 2023, Purcell Police officers were dispatched to a home inside the Mantooth Mobile Homes Park just before midnight, authorities said.

Police worked to stem the blood flow until emergency medical technicians arrived to take over care, according to authorities.

Paramedics subsequently carried the injured woman out of the mobile home for medical treatment, police said.

Once the victim was cleared from the home, officers went back through the residence to examine the scene, authorities said.

Inside, investigators discovered the implement that had caused the woman’s injuries, according to police.

A bloody hammer was sitting out in the open on a living room coffee table, officers said.

The hammer was allegedly the weapon Beene had used to strike his wife, police said.

Investigators found no indication that anyone had tried to hide the weapon or throw it away, authorities said. There was no attempt to clean up the crime scene, according to police.

The tool was left in plain view of anyone entering the room, exactly where the assault had apparently ended, police said.

Beene was arrested at the scene and booked into custody, authorities said.

He was booked on a charge of domestic assault and battery with great bodily injury, police said.

That statutory charge is reserved for cases where harm goes beyond standard domestic violence into serious physical trauma, according to authorities.
