“GIVE US EVERYTHING YOU HAVE”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, AUTHORITIES SAY A RESIDENT WAS ASSAULTED AND HELD AT GUNPOINT IN A CONVERTED GARAGE BEFORE THREE DEFENDANTS WERE SENTENCED TO 180 DAYS IN CUSTODY.
On May 6, 2023, authorities responded to an armed robbery call at a residence in Diamond, Illinois.
The emergency response occurred at around 1:00 a.m. in the 1500 block of East Clark Street.
Two masked offenders had entered a detached garage located on the property.
The detached garage had been converted into a living space.
Inside the building, the victim was physically assaulted.
The victim was also threatened with a handgun during the encounter.
The offenders took the victim’s cellphone.
They also took the victim’s wallet.
The intruders then fled the scene on foot.
The stolen cellphone was later recovered nearby.
But the wallet remained missing.
Surveillance footage captured two suspects entering the garage.
The cameras recorded the suspects leaving the property shortly afterward.
They were carrying a duffel bag as they walked away.
The investigation into the robbery eventually led authorities to four suspects.

In May 2026, 22-year-old Jon Loyd, of New Lenox, Illinois, pleaded guilty to robbery.
The conviction was for a Class 2 felony.
Loyd was sentenced to 180 days in custody.
His custodial term was ordered to be followed by four years of probation.
In August 2026, 23-year-old Alonzo Reid, of Plainfield, Illinois, pleaded guilty to robbery.
Reid’s plea was also entered for a Class 2 felony.
He was sentenced to 180 days in jail.
That jail term was followed by four years of probation.
Then 22-year-old Quinn Carrigan, of Joliet, Illinois, pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery.
Carrigan pleaded guilty to a Class 1 felony.
Carrigan also received 180 days in jail.
The incarceration was followed by four years of probation.
A fourth defendant, 24-year-old Lachaun Mason-Loyd, of Joliet, remains charged in the matter.
Mason-Loyd faces counts of armed robbery, aggravated robbery and robbery.
His case remains pending.
And he is currently being held in the Will County Jail on unrelated charges.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
